Welcome to our World of Warcraft encounter guide for Aggramar inAntorus, the Burning Throne. We will teach you everything you need to know to defeat theboss in every difficulty.

On this particular page, we will give you a short overview of the fight aswell as a list of things to watch out for (include LFR tips when applicable).

Lore

Aggramar is the penultimate boss encountered in Antorus, theBurning Throne.

Once the noble Avenger of the Pantheon, Aggramar was struck down bySargeras and reborn as a titan of destruction. He now stands at the core ofArgus, guarding a power that could unmake the universe.

Not even demons are permitted to tread within the titan's halls, andany mortals bold enough to trespass will be reduced to cinders by Aggramar'sburning blade, Taeshalach.

Outline

Aggramar a three-phase encounter, punctuated by two intermissionphases. While a high amount of damage and healing are necessary to succeed inthis encounter, the prime focus is on the clean execution of the fight'slethal mechanics.

TL;DR

4.1.

Tanks

  • The two tanks should stay together, as Aggramar's melee attacksare copied to the tank's closest ally.
  • Perform a taunt swap at 5+ stacks of Aggramar Guide for Antorus, the Burning Throne (1) Taeshalach's Reach.
  • Face Aggramar away from the group(s) duringAggramar Guide for Antorus, the Burning Throne (2) Taeshalach Technique to avoid hitting the raid withAggramar Guide for Antorus, the Burning Throne (3) Foe Breaker.

4.2.

Healers

  • Have healing ready for Aggramar Guide for Antorus, the Burning Throne (4) Flame Rend during theAggramar Guide for Antorus, the Burning Throne (5) Taeshalach Technique.
  • Be ready to apply quick surgical healing during critical mechanics, such asAggramar Guide for Antorus, the Burning Throne (6) Wake of Flame.
  • Maintain an even spread during the Intermission phases, with slightlydenser grouping around the tanks.
  • Have throughput cooldowns at the ready to stabilize any errantAggramar Guide for Antorus, the Burning Throne (7) Blazing Eruptions.

DPS

  • Have strong damage ready for the Flame of Taeshalachs andEmber of Taeshalachs that appear during the Intermission phases.
  • Soak Aggramar Guide for Antorus, the Burning Throne (8) Flame Rend during Aggramar Guide for Antorus, the Burning Throne (9) Taeshalach Technique while ensuringthat Aggramar Guide for Antorus, the Burning Throne (10) Foe Breaker is avoided.

4.4.

Everyone

  • Stay away from allies if you are afflicted withAggramar Guide for Antorus, the Burning Throne (11) Scorching Blaze.
  • Avoid the waves conjured during Aggramar Guide for Antorus, the Burning Throne (12) Wake of Flame.
  • Soak Aggramar Guide for Antorus, the Burning Throne (13) Flame Rend when assigned.
  • Crowd control as many Ember of Taeshalachs as possible and preventthem from reaching Aggramar.
  • Focus down one of the Flame of Taeshalachs during eachIntermission.

4.5.

Positioning

  • The DPS and Healers should split into 2 groups in Phases One, Two, andThree. Each group should stack on each of Aggramar's back legs,forming a rough triangle between the 2 groups and the Tanks. WhenAggramar Guide for Antorus, the Burning Throne (14) Flame Rend is being cast during Aggramar Guide for Antorus, the Burning Throne (15) Taeshalach Technique, the tanksshould face it toward one of the groups, alternating back and forth with eachsuccessive Flame Rend.
  • The group should spread out around the platform during the Intermissionphases, applying crowd control to as many Ember of Taeshalachs aspossible. The raid must also burn down one Flame of Taeshalachimmediately. As more of the Embers are killed, the group can slowly group upand finish the remaining Flame.
  • Players with Aggramar Guide for Antorus, the Burning Throne (16) Scorching Blaze should move backwards and outwards,away from their group.
  • Spread out before Aggramar Guide for Antorus, the Burning Throne (17) Flare and Aggramar Guide for Antorus, the Burning Throne (18) Empowered Flare.

5.

Bloodlust/Heroism/Time Warp

We advise you to use Aggramar Guide for Antorus, the Burning Throne (19) Bloodlust/Aggramar Guide for Antorus, the Burning Throne (20) Heroism/Aggramar Guide for Antorus, the Burning Throne (21) Time Warpin either Phase Three or the second intermission phase, based on whatever iscausing you more problems. There are pros and cons to either choice; there ishigh DPS efficiency in using it during the final phase, but the secondintermission has the most moving parts of any phase.

Ideally, for this achievement you should bring a Warlock and a Demon Hunter, Druid or Warrior tank.
