1Creating an IAMconnected account

Creating an IAMconnected account

Go to the website: https://www.iamconnected.eu.

Here, you can create your own account.

  • In the home screen, click the button that says ‘Ready to get started? Create your own IAMconnected account now’.
  • Enter your personal details in the blanks provided on the screen. You must fill in all requested information. The user name you enter must be unique. The email address must be a personal, individual email account.
  • Next, you will be asked to complete a CAPTCHA test in order to verify that the information was not entered by a robot.
  • If the preceding steps have been completed correctly, the ‘Create account’ button to the lower right of the screen will become active. Click the button marked ‘Create account’.

Once you have done this, you will need to activate the account. For that purpose, an activation email will be sent to the email address you provided. The activation email will also contain your user name. We recommend that you save this email; that way, you will always have a record of your IAMconnected user name.

In the email, select the option ‘Activate my IAMconnected account’. You will then be prompted to set a password for IAMconnected. Once you do, you will immediately be logged in.

IMPORTANT: All IAMconnected users must be connected to a company (your employer or the organisation that has contracted you for certain tasks) in order to access services through IAMconnected.

Multi-factor authentication is a log-in (authentication) method that makes use of a log-in process involving multiple steps. This results in a more secure method for granting access.

In the specific case of IAMconnected, this means that you will need to enter a code that has been sent to you – as well as your password – when logging in.

Go to the website: https://www.iamconnected.eu.

  • Log in at https://www.Iamconnected.eu; you will be prompted to configure multi-factor authentication
  • Google Authenticator has been chosen as the means of providing multi-factor authentication. To set this up, select ‘Configure factor’.
  • Next, you will be asked to select the type of device you are using (Apple, Android or Blackberry). Select Apple (make sure you have installed the Google Authenticator app on your smartphone).
  • Open Google Authenticator on your smartphone and select ‘+’ (add) and ‘scan barcode’. Once the barcode (QR code) has been scanned, the app on your smartphone will display a code. Click ‘Next’ in the browser
  • Enter the code on your smartphone in the IAMconnected screen and then click ‘Verify’; this will complete the set-up of the multi-factor authentication.

Whenever you log in from now on, after you have entered your user name and password, the MFA authentication will be carried out as well.

IMPORTANT: All requests to reset the MFA must be submitted through your administrator.

3Logging into IAMconnected

  • Go to https://www.IAMconnected.eu and select ‘Log in’.
  • Next, enter your user name and password.

If applicable, you will be asked to provide a multi-factor authentication (MFA) code; copy this from Google Authenticator, enter it in the relevant field and select ‘Verify’.

After log-in, you will be directed to the home screen.

Here, you can choose from the services available to you by clicking on one of the service tiles. You can then log into that service.

4Connecting to an organisation

Connecting to an organisation

In order to access services via IAMconnected, your account must be connected to a specific company. It is possible to connect your account to multiple companies as well. In other words: if you work for more than one company, you can do this using a single IAMconnected user account.

To connect your personal user account to a company, follow these steps:

  • Log in
  • Select the ‘Organisational management’ menu option
  • Select ‘Connect to organisation’
  • Enter the first letters of the company name (please note this is case sensitive). IAMconnected will display the companies found in its system. Select the desired organisation.
  • Select ‘Connect me to this organisation’
  • Once your administrator has approved the connection request, you will be able to make use of the services available to the company in question.

After log-in, you will be directed to the home screen.

Here, you can choose from the services available to you by clicking on one of the service tiles. You can then log into that service.

6Forgot password

There are 2 options to reset your password.

  1. Directly on the login screen
    • Click on the ‘Need help logging in’ option on the login screen and select ‘Forgot password’
    • Enter your e-mail address and click on ‘reset via e-mail’
    • Check your inbox for the e-mail generated by the system and follow the instructions
  2. Via the portal: https://www.IAMconnected.eu
    • Go to ‘I need help’ and select the option ‘I’ve forgotten my password, what do I do now?’
    • Follow the steps shown.

7Managing personal data

Managing personal data

Select the following link https://www.IAMconnected.eu and choose ‘Login’.
Enter your username and password (if you are using the authenticator app, select ‘verify’).
Then select the ‘My Profile’ tab.

Here you can modify your personal settings.

8Organization Administrator; Register/Manage Organization Data

Organization Administrator; Register/Manage Organization Data

You can only create a new organization on IAMconnected, or manage its data, if you are an Organization Administrator.

  1. After an IAMconnected account has been created, you can create a new Organization via the ‘Organization Management’ tab.
  2. To do so, select the ‘Register new organization’ button.
  3. Enter or amend the data as appropriate and then choose ‘Save
