PLUS THE TRIAD’S LARGEST SCHOOL DISTRICT IS OUT WITH ITS PROPOSED BUDGET FOR NEXT SCHOOL YEAR. WHAT’S IN IT? WHY? THIS TIME AROUND WAS SO TOUGH. AND WHEN YOU CAN WEIGH IN ALSO, EACH OF THOSE DEATHS REPRESENT SOMETHING. SOMETHING MORE THAN JUST A DEATH IN THE COMMUNITY. IT REALLY IS HARD TO PUT INTO WORDS REMEMBERING THE FALLEN WHERE YOU CAN SEE THE NAMES OF TWO LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT HEROES ON A NATIONAL MEMORIAL. FIRST, AT 11, THE SEARCH FOR JOSHUA ARQUETTE CONTINUES. HE’S ACCUSED OF AMONG OTHER THINGS, FIRING SHOTS INSIDE A BUSINESS IN ARCHDALE TODAY, KARA PETERS JOINS US LIVE NOW FROM THE ARCHDALE POLICE DEPARTMENT WITH A LOOK AT WHERE THINGS STAND IN THE SEARCH RIGHT NOW. KARA, CORRECT ME IF I’M WRONG. AS FAR AS WE KNOW, HE IS STILL OUT THERE AT THIS POINT, RIGHT? YEAH. KENNY, THAT IS CORRECT. THE MOST RECENT UPDATE WE RECEIVED FROM INVESTIGATORS IS THAT JOSHUA ARQUETTE MAY BE DRIVING A STOLEN TRUCK. IT IS A 2004 SILVER NISSAN TITAN WITH A DIAMOND PLATED TOOLBOX THAT WAS LAST SEEN LEAVING SOPHIA. NOW, THIS IS VIDEO FROM THE SCENE FROM EARLIER TODAY. POLICE SAY ARQUETTE FIRED SEVERAL SHOTS INSIDE THE CAROLINA CONTAINER COMPANY THIS MORNING BEFORE LEAVING IN A STOLEN TRUCK. NO ONE WAS HURT. RANDOLPH COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES FOUND THAT TRUCK SHORTLY AFTER THE SHOOTING, BUT THEY DID NOT FIND ARQUETTE IN THAT TRUCK WAS FOUND 15 MINUTES FROM THE SHOOTING ON THOMPSON HEATH ROAD IN SOPHIA. NOW, ACCORDING TO THE RANDOLPH COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE, THEY RECEIVED MULTIPLE CALLS SAYING A WHITE MAN CARRYING FIREARMS WAS KNOCKING ON DOORS IN THAT AREA, GOING THROUGH VEHICLES AND ASKING TO USE A PHONE. ANOTHER CALL CAME IN SHORTLY AFTER SOMEONE REPORTING A STOLEN SILVER NISSAN TRUCK. THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE SAYS SOMEONE SAW THAT TRUCK SPEEDING NEAR HIGHWAY 311. AGAIN, THAT IS A SILVER 2004 NISSAN TITAN WITH A DIAMOND PLATED TOOLBOX. NOW, LAW ENFORCEMENT REMINDS YOU THAT IF YOU DO SEE ARQUETTE TO NOT APPROACH HIM TO CONTACT THEM BECAUSE HE IS STILL CONSIDERED ARMED AND DANGEROUS, AND AT THIS TIME HE DOES HAVE PENDING CHARGES COMING OUT OF RANDOLPH COUNTY, DAVIDSON COUNTY AND ARCHDALE. OF COURSE, WE WILL CONTINUE TO FOLLOW THIS AND PROVIDE ANY OTHER UPDATES, BUT FOR NOW WE ARE LIVE TONIGHT IN ARCHDALE.
