Wrapping up an event in Shenzhen where the emphasis was on the importance of flexibility in the formulation of global talent mobility policies, providing valuable insights for Chinese enterprises' practices in this area. More and more Chinese companies are going global, designing global mobility policies to support their overseas employees - from lump sum allowances to traditional mobility policies, and now developing even more flexible policy models. The key points in the discussion included: 1. More and more Chinese enterprises are expanding into overseas markets, requiring them to formulate global talent deployment policies suitable for their own needs.2. These policies cover a range from lump sum allowances to traditional mobility policies, and further to more flexible new policy models. 3. There is no single fixed policy approach that is absolutely correct - companies need to make adjustments based on their own actual circ*mstances.Amazing event hosted by Graebel Companies, Inc. , Aon , Atlas and VisaCareIvy Zeng , Charles Shen Mindy Hu

The world of global mobility at Chinese companies is changing, led by employee experience and equity.Companies are moving beyond cash allowances to cover relocation and living expenses, an approach that was deemed simple and straightforward, but often let to inefficiencies and compliance issues.Today, Chinese companies are are taking a more proactive approach to global mobility, benchmarking themselves not only to other Chinese companies but are looking beyond borders to compare themselves to the top global companies in their respective industry with an increased focus on employee experience as the key drive of global mobility success.Mobility Leaders in China often ask me, how they should explain the benefit of providing relocation services and the advantages it has to the company to their senior leadership, considering the additional cost. As Michelle Mara from Graebel Companies, Inc. pointed out, Global Mobility should be viewed as a Strategic Investment, a fundamental change in perspective from a cost center. When global mobility is seen as a benefit, it's often seen as a cost that can be cut especially as many companies around the world are focusing on cost reduction. However, it should be seen as an investment, a strategic tool that can drive business success.- Attract and retain top talent- Expand into new markets- Increase productivity and innovation- Improve employee morale and engagement- Reduce compliance risks #globalmobility #employeexperience #strategicinvestment
