💡 Big news for not-for-profits (NFPs)! The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) of 2022 expanded tax incentives for clean energy technologies. Previously, these benefits were only for for-profit businesses, leaving nonprofits out. But now, with the IRA’s “elective pay” or “direct pay” option, nonprofits can benefit too.This is a golden opportunity for NFPs to make green improvements to their facilities, build energy-efficient buildings, or invest in clean energy tech like solar power and electric vehicles. 🌱➡️ Ben Rogers explains more in our latest edition of our #ProfitSense below.

Does CECL require a crystal ball? 🔮Of course not, however, it can seem like it.👉 Under ASC 326 Financial Instruments—Credit Losses (also known as CECL, for Current Expected Credit Losses), you'll need to consider not just current economic conditions but also management's expectations of future economic conditions when measuring and recording credit losses. 🚨 The Department of Labor has made a final ruling on new overtime standards for non-exempt employees. Effective July 1, the annual salary threshold for white-collar (executive, administrative, and professional) overtime exemptions will increase from $35,569 to $43,888, with plans to increase to $58,656 in 2025. ➡️ Our Director of Human Resources, Jillian Hawkins, PHR, has all the details in our latest edition of #ProfitSense.
