I’ve seen burp cloths on some packing lists and was curious if you need them? How many?

I honestly never used burp cloths at all with my son. But I remember when I was making my registry with him my SIL told me I was gonna need so many burp cloths! Maybe it depends on how much your baby spits up? My son was never much of a spitter upper lol

Take a couple, you probably won’t need them but it’s good to have just in case

I didn’t need any, my milk didn’t come in until I got home so it was more like dry burps than full on spit up when we were in the hospital

Our hospital provided burp clothes, swaddles, diapers, and wipes. I really didn’t feel like I needed much of anything for my first. This time around I’ll just pack whatever outfit I want her to wear home and maybe footie pjs but not much else!

I wouldn’t bring them since it just sounds like more laundry for you!
I used the hospital provided swaddles to clean up any little messes and when they got dirty I asked for replacement ones.

Insights, advice, suggestions, feedback and comments from experts
Based on the user's question and the context provided, it seems that the user is expecting advice or information about whether they need to pack burp cloths for their hospital bag. The user is likely a soon-to-be parent who is preparing for the arrival of their baby. They may have some knowledge about the topic but are seeking confirmation or advice from others who have experience in this area.
To answer the user's question, I will provide information based on search results.
Do You Need Burp Cloths for the Hospital Bag?
Burp cloths can be useful to have on hand when caring for a newborn, as they can help protect your clothes and furniture from spit-up or drool. However, whether you need to pack burp cloths in your hospital bag may depend on personal preference and the specific circ*mstances.
Some parents find that their newborns spit up frequently, while others may not experience much spit-up at all. Additionally, hospitals may provide burp cloths for use during your stay. It's a good idea to check with your hospital or birthing center to see if they provide these items.
Based on the experiences of other parents, some suggest packing a few burp cloths in your hospital bag, just in case you need them. Others mention that they didn't use burp cloths during their hospital stay but found them useful once they returned home.
Ultimately, the decision to pack burp cloths in your hospital bag is a personal one. If you prefer to be prepared for any situation, you may choose to pack a few burp cloths. However, if you want to minimize the amount of items you bring to the hospital, you may opt to rely on the hospital-provided items or wait until you return home to use burp cloths.
Remember, every baby and every parent's experience is different, so it's important to consider your own preferences and circ*mstances when making decisions about what to pack in your hospital bag.
I hope this information helps you make an informed decision about whether to pack burp cloths for your hospital bag. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask!
